On the evening of October 21, 2025, the launch ceremony of the 2025 "Academic New Talent Program" of CUFE Business School and its first lecture were successfully held in Classroom 206 of the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus. The event was hosted by Associate Professor Ji Yueting from the Department of Organizational and Human Resource Management of CUFE Business School. Gu Leilei, Vice Dean of CUFE Business School, attended and delivered a speech. Later, Professor Sun Luping from the Department of Marketing gave the first special lecture titled Academic Paper Writing and Publication – A Progressive Guide for Rookies. The on-site atmosphere was lively, with a strong academic vibe.
At the beginning of the event, Teacher Ji Yueting briefly introduced the founding background and core objectives of the "Academic New Talent Program". She pointed out that this program is committed to cultivating "research newcomers who understand practice and future leaders who understand research", and provides a systematic and in-depth platform for students interested in academia.

Next, Vice Dean Gu Leilei delivered a message to the students present. She encouraged the students to cherish the learning opportunities of the "Academic New Talent Program", expand their research horizons with a spirit of exploration, break through the boundaries of thinking with the courage of innovation, and continuously improve themselves through theoretical learning and practice to lay a solid foundation for their future academic development and career paths. At the same time, she reminded everyone that academic growth requires perseverance; students should take the initiative to communicate with mentors and peers, learn from interactions, and avoid detours.

In the special lecture session, focusing on academic paper writing and publication, Professor Sun Luping delivered a rich and practical lecture to the students. She first emphasized the basic principle of "connecting with cutting-edge theories and addressing practical needs" for academic topic selection, and elaborated on several important sources of research topics in detail. Then, regarding paper structure and writing standards, she systematically explained the key points of the entire process, from topic selection strategies, literature review, and research hypothesis construction to the selection of empirical methods, paper writing skills, and submission strategies. Finally, she shared insights on "several essential self-cultivations", encouraging students to be diligent in observation and thinking on their academic journey, maintain enthusiasm for knowledge, refine their writing skills, and develop a tenacious character that is not afraid of difficulties.

Finally, Teacher Ji Yueting gave a detailed introduction to the 2025 "Academic New Talent Program" training plan. She pointed out that the program takes the "workshop + mentor system" as the main line and builds a year-round modular training system, covering diverse links such as cutting-edge academic lectures in various majors, in-depth study of classic literature, full-process workshops on paper writing, and academic new talent forums. She stated that the "Academic New Talent Program" not only focuses on cultivating academic capabilities but also emphasizes promoting participants to accumulate practical achievements such as paper publications, helping them stand out in postgraduate recommendation, overseas further study, and various academic competitions.

According to statistics, a total of 86 undergraduate students have joined this year's "Academic New Talent Program". In terms of grade distribution, 2025-grade students account for the highest proportion at 40.23%; 2024-grade and 2023-grade students account for 33.33% and 26.44% respectively, forming a good atmosphere of cross-grade communication and mutual assistance. The applicants have diverse professional backgrounds, covering majors such as Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Big Data Marketing, and Supply Chain Management, as well as interdisciplinary talent training programs including the double major of Supply Chain Management-Economic Statistics and Business Administration-Law. This fully demonstrates the students' strong academic enthusiasm and reflects the program's wide appeal and interdisciplinary integration characteristics.
