In the golden month of October, emotions are tied to CUFE. On October 18, 2025, CUFE Business School kicked off the 2025 Alumni Homecoming Day Series Activities with the theme of "Symphony of Knowledge and Practice, Innovating the Future Together". Alumni from various industries returned to their alma mater to revisit campus memories, cherish teacher-student friendships, witness the school’s development, and join hands to support talent cultivation.
The Alumni Mentor Appointment & Pairing Ceremony of CUFE Business School was held in Lecture Hall 114 of the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus. Xu Xianmei, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, Liu Xiaoyuan, Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Vice Dean of CUFE Business School, faculty representatives, alumni mentor representatives, and 2025 freshmen attended the ceremony, which was hosted by Yang Zhongying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School.
In her speech, Xu Xianmei, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, extended a warm welcome to the returning alumni and reviewed the school’s outstanding achievements in recent years in international accreditation, teaching and research, enrollment and employment. She emphasized that alumni are the most precious asset of the school, and the alumni mentor program serves as a crucial bridge connecting the campus and the workplace. She expressed gratitude to the alumni for selflessly passing on their practical experience and professional wisdom to current students with the spirit of "mentorship".
At the solemn 3rd Alumni Mentor Appointment Ceremony of CUFE Business School, Xu Xianmei (Secretary of the Party Committee) and Liu Xiaoyuan (Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Vice Dean) jointly presented appointment letters to the 3rd batch of alumni mentors.
Subsequently, at the mentor-apprentice ceremony, students bowed to their mentors and presented "apprenticeship letters". Through this traditional and solemn ritual, they expressed their eagerness to learn and deep respect for the mentors.
In the mentor-student representative sharing session, Lu Jihai (2005 MBA alumna, researcher at Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical), Yin Lili (2014 MBA alumna, Chairman of Beijing Rongjin Cultural Development Co., Ltd.), and Zhou Haochen (2024 academic master’s student of CUFE Business School) delivered speeches respectively. They shared sincere insights from perspectives such as the operation mechanism of the alumni mentor program, teacher-student interaction models, workplace experiences, and learning growth, which resonated strongly with all teachers, students, and alumni present.
Diverse Themed Lectures & Sharing Activities on Homecoming Day
On the Homecoming Day, a series of richly themed lectures and sharing events were held.
"Back to the Classroom: Reform and Development of Higher Education in the Context of Digital Technology"
Hosted by Professor Sun Guohui from the Department of Marketing, this lecture explored the challenges faced by higher education in the digital technology era and corresponding solutions. When talking about the core mission of higher education, Professor Sun Guohui emphasized that in an era where knowledge acquisition is increasingly convenient, it is crucial to cultivate critical thinking and innovative spirit that surpass AI. At the same time, it is necessary to balance the integration of technological development and humanistic ethics. This viewpoint brought profound inspiration to the teachers, students, and alumni present. Xu Xianmei (Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School), Liu Xiaoyuan (Deputy Director of the MBA Education Center and Vice Dean), and alumni of the 2001 undergraduate major in Marketing of CUFE Business School participated in this activity.
"MBA Excellence Forum: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence"
This event specially invited Chen Yueping, co-founder of Nanjing Disheng Power Technology Co., Ltd. and independent industrial technology investor. Combining her rich experience in technology investment and cross-industry research, she presented a thought-provoking feast that integrated cutting-edge technology, business insights, and humanistic care for the students.
"Innovative Practices of Digital Technology Empowering Industry, Life, and Learning"Hosted by the MBA Fintech Research Association, this sharing session invited three guests: Zhang Yi (2005 alumna, founder and CEO of Industry Digital (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd.), Xia Ji (2011 alumna, infrastructure engineer at Dongxing Securities and MIIT-certified generative AI application engineer), and Li Yu (2024 alumna, head of infrastructure and hybrid cloud at Longfor Properties). They shared their cutting-edge insights and practical experiences in fintech, generative AI, and cloud computing.
