From October 25 to 26, 2025, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Inner Mongolia-Shanxi Division of the 10th China University Students Human Resource Innovation and Practice Competition (HRU) was grandly held at Beijing City University. The team composed of undergraduate students from our school actively participated in the competition and won the Group Special Award, along with 3 Individual Special Awards, 6 Individual First Awards, and 1 Individual Second Award.
The China University Students Human Resource Innovation and Practice Competition (HRU) is a top-tier national specialized competition in human resources co-sponsored by the China Talent Exchange Association and other institutions. In 2023, the competition was included in the observation list of the Catalogue of Disciplinary Competitions for Undergraduate Students in Regular Institutions of Higher Education compiled by the China Association of Higher Education, becoming an event on the Ministry of Education's disciplinary competition list. Up to this year, the competition has been held for ten consecutive sessions, attracting more than 500 universities and over 80,000 student participants, with a radiating impact on 300,000 teachers and students. Through a practical competition format that closely aligns with real workplace scenarios, it comprehensively enhances students' practical capabilities in human resource management and comprehensive management.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei-Inner Mongolia-Shanxi Division competition this year saw the participation of contestants from more than 30 universities, with the theme of "Enlightening the Future with Wisdom, Gathering Talents in Yicheng". In addition to the original eight competition tracks – including Practical Design, Leaderless Group Discussion, Labor Dispute Resolution, and HR + Global Expansion – a new track themed "Employer Brand of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone" was added. A jury consisting of corporate HR executives and senior lawyers conducted professional evaluations of the contestants' performance.

With strong support and careful arrangement from the university and the school, and under the guidance of teachers Ji Yueting, Lin Lin, Liu Wei, Zuo Yuhan, and Ji Xiaode, the participating students made active preparations and competed calmly, winning brilliant achievements for the school and the university. Specifically. Fan Zechen, an undergraduate student of the 2023 cohort, won the Special Award in the Labor Dispute Resolution track. Xiao Yue, Tong Yu, and Yang Yanran won the Special Award in the Practical Design track. Hou Jiaying, Deng Qian, and Li Xuanyi won the Special Award in the Corporate Trade Union and Democratic Management track. The team also stood out among many participating universities in other tracks, demonstrating the outstanding professional knowledge foundation and strong adaptability of our students.
The entire process of preparation and participation was an immersive professional growth experience for the team members. Starting from receiving the competition questions for each track, the team members focused on core tasks such as employer brand building and digital innovation in human resources. Combining theoretical knowledge learned in class – including organizational behavior and compensation management – they conducted in-depth analysis of corporate pain points and proposed comprehensive and practical solutions. Before the competition, the students repeatedly polished their plans, optimized strategies through data analysis, and responded calmly with clear logic during the defense process. Through this experience, they not only learned to transform abstract theoretical models into actionable practical plans but also improved their comprehensive abilities in communication, coordination, pressure resistance, and adaptability through division of labor and collaboration.
The fruitful results of this competition are not only a recognition of the team's efforts but also enabled the students to gain a deeper understanding of industry practices in human resource management. By facing real corporate problems directly, the students truly felt the core value of HR work in connecting enterprises and talents and supporting organizational development, and also clarified the direction and goals of their professional learning. The excellent performance in this division competition is a vivid reflection of the "unity of knowledge and action" teaching philosophy of CUFE Business School. It has laid a solid foundation for the team to compete in the national finals later, and will further inspire more students to take practice as a "pen" and write their growth stories in the professional field.
