【Freshmen Orientation Meeting】
In September 2025, the orientation meeting for 2025 undergraduate freshmen of CUFE Business School was successfully held in Classroom 519 of the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus. Li Yuexin, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, Lin Song, Dean of CUFE Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center, and Gu Leilei, Vice Dean of CUFE Business School, attended the event. All 2025 undergraduate freshmen participated, and Wang Huiting, counselor of the 2025 undergraduate cohort, hosted the meeting.
Lin Song, Dean of CUFE Business School and Director of the MBA Education Center, extended a warm welcome to the freshmen. He gave a detailed introduction to the school and shared his expectations for the students. Dean Lin hoped that the students would quickly adapt to college life, find their passions and persevere in pursuing them. He also advised the students to exercise regularly, maintain physical fitness, and develop good living habits to lay a solid foundation for their long-term future work and study.
Gu Leilei, Vice Dean of CUFE Business School, combined her own academic experience to answer questions that freshmen might encounter when entering college. She reminded the students that the college years are a time for constant trial and error, exploration, and maintaining curiosity about everything. On September 3, the conference commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was grandly held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. CUFE Business School organized all 2025 undergraduate freshmen to watch the conference collectively and carried out in-depth learning and discussion activities. Li Yuexin, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, joined the freshmen in discussing the conference and popularized knowledge about World War II for them. Later, Secretary Li delivered the "First Lecture by the Party Secretary" with the theme of "family and national feelings." He concretized the concept of family and national feelings, explained its manifestations in daily life in a simple and understandable way, and emphasized the importance of responsibility and commitment for young people in the new era.
【Military Training Mobilization Meeting】
CUFE Business School attached great importance to the military training for undergraduate students. On September 3, it organized a military training mobilization meeting and opening ceremony. Li Yuexin, Secretary of the Party Committee of CUFE Business School, and all 2025 undergraduate freshmen participated. Wang Huiting, counselor of the 2025 undergraduate cohort, explained the significance and requirements of military training, showcased the highlights of military training from previous years, and allowed the students to gain an intuitive understanding of the excitement of military training life through pictures and videos. Meanwhile, two representatives of the participants shared their understanding of military training and led all 2025 undergraduate students in taking the military training oath.
【"Teacher's Talk" Lecture: "Upgrading - Growth Methods and Learning Guide for the College Stage"】
On the afternoon of September 4, the first session of the 2025 autumn semester "Teacher's Talk" series lecture (a brand activity of CUFE Business School) was successfully held in Classroom 503 of the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus. For this lecture, Associate Professor Liu Shubo, Director of the Strategy Department of CUFE Business School, was invited to give a speech titled "Upgrading - Growth Methods and Learning Guide for the College Stage" to the 2025 undergraduate freshmen, explaining methods for "self-upgrading" during the college years. The lecture was hosted by Teacher Wang Huiting, and the freshmen's class teachers and all 2025 undergraduate freshmen attended.
Starting from his own growth and learning experience, Teacher Liu Shubo explained the functions of education and analyzed the current status of education. He emphasized that college students should maintain curiosity about knowledge and uphold an open mindset. He also introduced the key points of "self-upgrading" in college from three aspects: mindset, cognition, and balance. Teacher Liu hoped that the students would maintain a positive and calm attitude, find their true passions, improve their artistic literacy while learning scientific and cultural knowledge, focus on developing strategic thinking as future elites, and strive to master the skill of "balance." He also advised the students to strengthen physical exercise, read extensively, persist in writing, and become people with a stronger sense of altruism and willingness to contribute to the collective.
Six freshmen class teachers - Yao Xiao, Qu Riliang, Ji Yueting, Chen Jingchuan, Mou Shandong, and Gao Zhennan - focused on the two themes of academic planning and college adaptation, helping the freshmen transition smoothly to college life and providing timely and useful guidance for their upcoming college careers.
【"Youth Encounter, Warm Ice-breaking" Activity】
To help freshmen get familiar with each other quickly, integrate into the collective, the school gave full play to the role of peer support and the "mentorship" role of class work assistants during the freshmen enrollment period, and planned an ice-breaking activity for freshmen. On the evening of September 5, in the Main Teaching Building at the Xueyuan South Road Campus, 6 class work assistants and the interim leaders of each class led the students to hold the "first encounter" of their college collective life.
Each class designed a variety of ice-breaking games. These activities broke the sense of strangeness among freshmen, enhanced mutual understanding, narrowed the distance between them, and laid a solid foundation for the freshmen to integrate into college life and the subsequent class construction.
