From June 29 to July 13, 2025, the "Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era: 2025 CUFE International Summer School", co-hosted by CUFE Business School and the International Cooperation Office, was held at the Xueyuan South Road Campus of CUFE. With "entrepreneurship in the digital era" as its theme, this program attracted international students from various countries around the world—including the United States, Greece, Germany, and Bosnia and Herzegovina—who come from diverse cultural backgrounds. It helped them understand how the development of Chinese business practice is integrated into the global context, and promoted the construction of an international strategic cooperation system for business education in terms of talent cultivation.

On June 30, Lin Guangbin (Director of the Academic Affairs Office of CUFE), Ge Jianxin (Director of the International Cooperation Office of CUFE), Lin Song (Dean of CUFE Business School & Director of the MBA Education Center), Song Chen (Head Teacher of the CUFE Innovation Experimental Class), and Guo Xiaokun (Director of the International Cooperation Office of CUFE Business School) attended the opening ceremony.
Yan Xinyu, Project Officer of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), was invited to deliver an introduction to UNICEF’s "Youth Potential" initiative. Professor Ge Jianxin, Director of the International Cooperation Office of CUFE, gave a lecture titled Youth Entrepreneurship - Cases of KAB (China 2020-2025), presenting an analysis of data on Chinese college students' micro-entrepreneurship initiatives. Chinese and international students from multiple countries gathered together, feeling the warm welcome from CUFE.

This year’s summer school featured courses taught by renowned international professors from top universities. Professor Massimiliano Pellegrini from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" (Italy) taught Working in Teams. Professor Attila Mucsi from Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary) taught Strategic Entrepreneurship. Professor Xiaoming Yang from the University of Nebraska (USA) taught Entrepreneurial Marketing. Professor Jan Bejkovsky from Charles University (Czech Republic) taught Doing Business in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe). Professor Ufuk Gunes Bebek from the University of Birmingham (UK) taught Foundations of Data Science.
These courses were closely aligned with the practical needs of digital entrepreneurship. Guided by diverse teaching methods such as case analysis and group discussions, Chinese and international students jointly explored core concepts and operation models of digital entrepreneurship.

The practical teaching module adopted a model of "on-site observation + in-depth dialogue".In active response to the national Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, students were organized to conduct practical learning activities in Xiongan New Area. Chinese and international students jointly inspected the planning and construction progress of Xiongan and the achievements of relieving Beijing of non-capital functions. They appreciated the green development characteristics of Xiongan, experienced the Chinese-style aesthetics in its "vigorous growth", and personally felt the vibrant development momentum of China.

Students visited high-tech enterprises represented by Watchdata (a world-renowned innovative technology company) for in-depth exchanges. Watchdata provides data security products and services to more than 70 countries worldwide, and has achieved outstanding results in digital business model innovation and intelligent hardware research and development. Guo Tianguang, Vice President of Watchdata, conducted in-depth discussions with Chinese and international students on practical issues such as digital entrepreneurship opportunity identification, product R&D management, and marketing strategies, demonstrating the striving spirit and wisdom of Chinese entrepreneurs.
The Zuojiazhuang Sub-district of Chaoyang District provided strong support for this enterprise visit, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the activity and fully demonstrating the responsibility and effectiveness of grass-roots sub-districts in serving the people and supporting regional development.

The program broke down cultural barriers by forming multicultural teams. Through cultural visit activities, international students were able to better integrate into the Chinese cultural environment and experience the unique charm of Chinese culture. Focusing on simulated digital entrepreneurship projects, Chinese and international students leveraged their complementary cultural advantages to jointly advance the projects. Each team presented the results of their simulated entrepreneurship projects, and professors comprehensively evaluated the students' performance and provided suggestions for their development.

At the closing ceremony, Ge Jianxin (Director of the International Cooperation Office of CUFE) and Lin Song (Dean of CUFE Business School) sincerely thanked the teaching team of the summer school for their strong support. Professor Massimiliano Pellegrini from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and Professor Attila Mucsi from Corvinus University of Budapest delivered speeches respectively. Chinese and international students shared their gains and growth from this cross-cultural experience and cross-cultural people-to-people exchanges. Professor Massimiliano Pellegrini and Professor Attila Mucsi presented certificates to international students and outstanding teaching assistants.

The CUFE International Summer School program is a featured international cooperation program of CUFE. Chinese and international students enhanced mutual understanding through communication and built deep friendships through cooperation. They will become envoys of cultural exchange, relying on their own advantages to deepen interactive dialogue and contribute youth power to promoting mutual understanding and friendly cooperation between different countries. In the future, CUFE Business School will continue to promote in-depth international academic cooperation and extensive cultural exchange, further deepen the characteristics of internationalized school-running, and open up a new chapter in the internationalization construction cause.
